If you haven’t, then the best way to sum up our approach is that we’ll work on a one-to-one basis with the owners and senior managers of growing businesses, helping you to focus on the really important things you need to do to improve your company such as:

When you choose to work with us you can be assured that it will be tailored to meet your specific needs. You will never get pushed through a standard programme, much of which may not be useful to you. This means your time and money are being focused on the areas that will have the most impact.

Our starting point will be to meet with you and conduct an in-depth analysis of your needs. We will ask what you want to achieve by working with us, listening carefully to your analysis of the problems you want solved, and your future plans for your business. This gives you the opportunity to identify the outcome you expect from our work, and puts it in the context of the future of the business.

If at this stage we don’t think we’re able to help you to achieve your objectives, or if our expertise isn’t in the areas you need, we’ll tell you so. We don’t accept any assignments if we can’t add value to your business.

Next we’ll outline the services that we offer which will meet your needs. Some of these options will be so vital to the process that they will be "must haves". Others will be "nice to have" options. By the end of the meeting together we will have mapped out a suitable programme for your business, which we will ask you to commit to.

Our whole philosophy is that we work with you rather than leave you to your own devices. We agree in advance what is going to happen, keep you informed of progress and provide you with on-going support.

You will be allocated a consultant or outsourced finance director, who will be a Chartered Accountant with years of financial and management experience. All the work done for you will be carried out by this person; it will not be delegated to junior members of staff. This means that you will always be dealing with the same person, who will get to know your business inside out.

By working with you and your staff we can ensure that things actually happen in your business and your objectives are consistently met. Even if it is more appropriate and cost effective for you and your staff to implement changes, we’ll help you to prepare for the implementation process, providing you with support and encouragement throughout the project. At other times, we’ll "roll up our sleeves" and carry out the project ourselves. In this way we will be an extra, highly trained, resource for your business, without you having to go to the bother and expense of employing another member of staff.

All projects are carried out to a pre-arranged timetable. We will meet with you, and any of your staff who may be involved in the project to agree mutually acceptable dates. The agreed timetable will then be circulated to everyone involved so that they know what needs to be done and when.

Much of the work will be carried out at your premises, and may involve you and/or members of your staff. By carrying out this work on pre-arranged dates we will keep any disruption to your business down to the minimum. Some work will be carried out off-site. This will include time where we brainstorm and research ideas and solutions for you, write reports, and complete forecasts and budgets.

Throughout the programme we will report back to you at prearranged times so that you know how the work is progressing.

At the end of each project we will have a review session with you to ensure that you are happy with our work, and that your objectives, set at the initial meeting or as revised during the programme, have been met.
